I can't believe my little man is 1 already! His birthday was great! We were lucky enough to have a nice day with all this spring snow. He loved opening all his presents. And especially the cake! It took him forever to dive into it, but once he did he wouldn't stop :) Here are a few pics from his birthday. Thanks again to everyone who came out to celebrate!!!

So I know I've been a slacker at updating this, but I've been a little busy. This month I went back to work. )= It's amazing how fast 3 months can go when you aren't working every day. I can't believe our little guy is already 3 1/2 months old!! Here's some updated pics of him.

My dogs LOVE clothes right out of the dryer. Every time we pile them on the bed they build themselves a little cave and relax in the heat. Just thought this picture was too cute not to share. (=

So, we were watching Fight Club on Saturday, and the guy on TV was shaving his head. I said something like, "we should do that to my hair." And Cody said lets give me a mohawk. It only took me 2 hours to get it straight, but it looks really good. Here is the before picture. (=

Happy 29th Birthday CODY!!!! We celebrated his birthday starting Sunday by going to brunch at MacCools and then to a movie. On Wednesday, his actual birthday, he had a cold so we stayed home and I made prime rib for the first time (it actually turned out!!) Then we played some darts & had some ice cream cake. Mmmm.... I hope you had a good birthday honey! Love you!!!! Next year we will have a bash for his dirty 30 so be prepared!!! (=

Oh the weather outside is frightful....

Christmas was a blizzard! Our day started off just Cody & I opening our presents by our tree. He got an itouch and I got a bunch of onesies for the baby, 2 wii games, some gloves, and some maternity clothes. YAY! We then headed off to his mom's house for breakfast. The snow was CRAZY! I haven't seen that much snow in a long time! Susan made us some awesome bacon & eggs then we headed off to Cody's dads to say hello, and finally last stop to my parents house. The drive down to Saratoga wasn't too bad, but the drive home was pretty long close to an hour and half! Not too mention I got us stuck in our driveway for twenty minutes of that! YIKES! Luckily we got an electric snow shovel from my parents to help us out with shoveling the next day. (= Despite the snow it was a great Christmas!! I feel lucky to have such a great husband, family, and friends to spend the holidays with!

Christmas Party Weekend

It was a Christmas party weekend. We had a dirty santa party with all of our close friends, it was a blast. Thanks again to everyone for coming even in the snow. (= Here are a few pictures of the party & some prizes a few people got.

We then had the Briggs annual white elephant party with some delicious brunch & white elephant gifts. I stole a sweet purse (sorry Trish) & Cody ended up with one of the presents we brought. It was a great time, and really helped get us in the mood for Christmas!!

Utes win BYU 48-24, and go 12-0 to win the Mountain West!!!! YAY! After tailgating since 2:00, this was a great end to a fun day! Fans rush the field and teardown the goal posts! Now on to the Fiesta or Sugar Bowl in January. GO UTES!!!!!

Happy 50th Birthday Mama Suzie!! To celebrate the family went down to Vegas to see Madonna! It was one of my favorite concerts I've ever been to, and was well worth the money. Cody & I went to Criss Angel's Believe.....not the greatest show ever. I was expecting a magic show mixed with the cirque de solei arts; it was a great play but the magic was completely fake. You could see the holes in the floor, and strings from the ceilings. It was almost as if you saw something happen before it actually did. The girls went to the wax museum at the Venitian, it was sweet. They had a haunted house surprise inside...and if someone was recording I would love to have that video. All 4 of us huddled together was hilarious! But other than that we just hung out and gambled a little. We came home behind money wise, but Trish & Ry hit $400 on Wheel of Fortune! YAY! All in all it was a great trip! I already miss the 75 degree weather.

I'm sure I have told you all this, but we have a little one on the way. The due date is April 18th, and we couldn't be more excited! I am about 10 weeks along. We had our first ultrasound yesterday, and the little one was moving all over the place. The doctor said everything looks good. I know you can't tell much from the picture, but it was crazy to see him/her moving all over the screen!

Our Montana trip was a blast! It went by way too fast though. We had a couple of golfing trips, in which mine & Cody's team won & tied. Both times with a 41!! Our first night we had a fiesta for Derek's 28th birthday, and the kids busted open a pinata. Kaden was the lucky one to bust it open, and the kids all dived on the money Cody & I hid in there. It was funny to watch the kids go crazy! We had a little bit of rain the second day, so we just relaxed and played a couple games. Our last day we made a trip to Virginia City where the Dog & Grog local brewery festival was going on. So, we stopped in and had a couple of beers. Our favorite was the Trout Slayer. We went back, and floated the Madisson River with my parents while everyone else went to the lake. The river float is always an amazing experience. For the most part very relaxing, except when I ran into Cody's pontoon boat about 8 times, oooooops. (= We had a total of three poker tournaments all 3 nights, the first went down between Cody & my dad, Cody taking the money, I finished 3rd. grrr... The second was between Derek & my mom, my mom, of course taking D out!! I finished 4th!! grrr... The last one was between Joe & my dad, my dad schooling Joe on heads up play, and taking him out. (= Cody finished 4th, I did not do so well that night only really playing 2 hands to showdown, both too hard for me to lay down. grrrr... All in all it was a great trip, and I can't wait to go back next year!

July 16th. 2008 the Rally Monkeys arrive to the last game of the season knowing if they win, they win the First Place Trophy! Everyone there was pumped thinking about it all day at work or at home (Jeremy Young was unable to come because of a work trip to Vegas). With about four minutes until game time we headed to the dugout from our usual pre-game area of chatting and sharing some beers to find out the team we need to beat for the title was not going to be there to play us. With all of that, we accepted our trophy and First Place title after playing a team that played before us in a scrimmage game that we easily took care of in front of the team that could potentially tie us for First Place. This team still had another game to play that night and if they lost would not have tied us in the Win column. We snuck by with a one run advantage over the potential tying team in the two hard fought games we played against them. With all of that said we loved taking home the Trophy and having the teams complain about it. Even if they won, we still had them beat! We also had the best team hitting average in the league with John Kollman just missing the Mens Batting Title and Ashley Briggs winning the Womens Batting title!! Way t go you two (Ashley's clock will look really good on her desk when she goes back to teaching this fall). GO MONKEYS!!

Thanks to our friends Jesse & Ryan for taking a trip to Wyoming to get us a Blue Moon Keg for our 4th of July BBQ!! All in all it was a great night. Fireworks were going off like crazy all over the valley, and we could see a lot of them from our balcony. Even a few illegal fireworks our neighbors had going off (a couple landed on our deck, and I found a bunch in our front yard the next morning) YIKES. By the end of the night all the guys were screaming about sports and all the girls were looking a little bit tired and bored with the conversation topics!! I just know that I found a bunch of lists of NBA players when I woke up in the morning (one of them was typed!) Thanks Jay. (= But I had a great night & I hope all of you did too! Thanks for the delicious food you guys brought! Much appreciated! We need to do this more often

Work Party at the Olympic Park

I had my work team building party at the Olympic Park in Park City. It was really fun. We got a private tour of the place, and got to ride the bobsled, xtreme zipline, Alpine slide, and the ziprider. The bobsled was pretty dang scary. They told me to shrug my shoulders, and try to keep your head as stable as possible. Well, I thought I was doing that, but somehow my head was thrown between my legs & I couldn't get it back up. So, I had to go on the rest of the rides all carsick, and I had whiplash the next day. All in all it was a really fun "team building" experience, even though i get made fun of for screaming on my way down the Xtreme zipline (a 4-story drop!) .

311 & Snoop Show

Last night we went to the 311 & Snoop Dogg show. It was awesome! Snoop kicked ass! Cody was a little nervous that he might sing all his new stuff. But he did a great job mixing it up with both new & old. 311 put on a great show as always!! They have incredible energy on stage!! All in all it was a fun night, but it might make for a very long tiring day at work today. (=
